San Diego Chargers outside linebacker Larry English spoke to employees of Par Electric on Tuesday about the American Lung Association and his L.E.A.D Foundation: Leading Education to Athletes for Their Dreams.
English, a lifetime asthmatic, has overcome lung disease by taking a proactive approach to lung health. He is now sharing his story through his foundation and has partnered with the American Lung Association. The L.E.A.D Foundation also encourages student athletes to put academics first and offers free tutoring at Lincoln High School.
Par Electric is a sponsor of fundraisers for the American Lung Associations including the upcoming Fight for Air Walk. Par Electric has donated $40,000 to the American Lung a Association in 2011 alone and has a goal of raising $10,000 more this year by matching employee donations, up to $5,000.
The video is hosted by our own Dan McLellan of 619sports.net who failed to tell English he has been a professional balloon artist for over 19 years prior to challenging him in a competition to see who could blow up a balloon the fastest. Watch as Dan destroys English in the challenge. Fortunately, English was a great sport:
