In what has been a terrible year, the last week showed Padres fans at least a few hopeful glimpses for the future.  Can the 619 Sports guys see a light at the end of the tunnel?

  • I've always wanted to see youth served if the Padres were looking to have a down year. Don't bring in 30-something retreads who can't get you to .500 but instead bring up the kids and let 'em get experience. So, I've got my wish: Latos, Cabrera, Blanks, Headly, TGJ, Venable, Adams and now Richard (Poreda in a month?). So if this little 6/7 span comes to an end and they drop eight in a row....

    I got what I wanted, I got what I wanted, I got what I wanted....It ain't that bad.
