The Green Machine is blasting its way down the road to Williamsport and the Little League World Series. With 34 homeruns in 5 games, outscoring their opponents 87-11, the Park View Little Leaguers are a machine indeed. Friday’s 15-2 mercy rule win over the Las Vegas All Stars featured six more longballs, including Isaiah “El Torito” Armenta’s walkoff grand slam in the 4th.
Sunday afternoon will bring a new kind of pressure for the kids from Chula Vista, as they will battle Lakeside from Northern California under the lights of national television. The game will be on ESPN2 at 5pm Pacific time. We will live tweet game reports and have postgame coverage from San Bernadino as well.
