I am split between Evert Cabrera and Kyle Blanks as the most exciting Padre player.

The club has a whole new outfield and a very capable one.

This is how I would like to see the club shaped for next season:

    C: Nick Hundley
    1B: Adrian Gonzalez
    2B: David Eckstein
    SS: Evert Cabrera
    3B: Kevin Kouzmanoff
    LF: Kyle Blanks
    CF: Tony Gwynn
    RF Will Venable.

    Bench:

Henry Blanco, Ed Gonzalez, Chase Headley, Oscar Salazar.

I will miss Peavey and root for him every time he takes the mound with the White Sox, but am rather happy with a group were we may have Young, Latos, Richards, Stauffer, Correia, as starters and amongst others, super super reliever Mike Adams, Luke Gregerson, Edward Mujica and the best closer in MBL: Heath Bell.

The club must drop Giles and Floyd right away.

Nice surprises this year: Evert Cabrera, Kyle Blanks, Tony Gwynn, Will Venable, Matt Latos, Clayton Richard, Luke Gregerson and the work of Heat Bell.
