The Park View Little League All-Stars captivated more than just the sports fans of San Diego. Some of the top athletes in town were also intently focused on the action from Williamsport, Pennsylvania and the Little League World Series. Several Chargers stars were rooting for the kids from Chula Vista on their Twitter feeds. A sampling after the jump:
The Padres are not nearly as active as the Chargers on Twitter, but they have been supporting PVLL financially, with donations of time, money, and memorabilia for auction. Many Padre players also recorded a video of support for the kids from Chula Vista. Padres’ Director of Media Relations Warren Miller is also in regular contact with the team and league officials.
