Vasquez performed much better in his second NFL start at right guard.  Will his guard be up against Ello’s three questions, or will the Red Raider alum come out with his guns up?

(due to NFL rules we had to take down Louis’ audio after 24 hours.  The transcript is below)

Louis Vasquez

How much confidence did you gain from the way you played against Atlanta?

“A gained a pretty good amount, coming out there playing fairly well with the older guys, especially alongside Hardwick and Dielman.  It’s a great feeling, knowing I can come out there and compete, especially against a good opponent.”

Talk about a couple of your blocks in the Atlanta game, the Darren Sproles touchdown run looked like a lineman’s dream, where you do a little cross block with Jeromey Clary, and Sproles springs between you:

“I went out there, and I didn’t even know what was going on behind me, I was just executing and doing my job, and the next thing you know I look up and Sproles is in the end zone…”

…and on the Michael Bennett screen pass touchdown, it looked like you got a couple of blocks out there, you were rumbling!

“(laughs) I mean, if I’m going to go out there, and I’m going to have to block a little guy, I’m going to make him pay for it, for getting me all the way out there, I’m going to go out there and execute my job.”

Are your guns still up?  How much fun did you have playing in that offense at Texas Tech?

“Oh yes sir, still (laughs).  It was definitely fun, a high-scoring offense, potent.  Going out there and knowing you’re going to score a lot, it’s a good feeling.”
