Why didn’t Shaun come out to meet the media after the Chargers’ playoff loss to the Jets?  Is the team better off without Antonio Cromartie?  Did Shaun feel he improved last year, and how much of the offseason is fueled by the bitterness of that playoff loss?

All these questions and more are asked and answered with Shaun Phillips, our interview podcast is available after the jump:

I'm glad to see that Shaun realized he screwed up with the statements on the Darren Smith interview. If he would have been humble and apologized at that time, there wouldn't be all these hard feelings toward him. Good for Shaun that he's changed his attitude.

Humility will always win over the fans. If you screw up, just say you did. Head butting was horrific, but hey, it wasn't half as bad as Kaeding.

Good luck this year, and good riddance Cromartie...

I agree that he should apologize and that should end it. But the headbutt was way worse than a missed field goal in terms of being a team player. Nate made a mistake. But at least he tried. Shaun made more than a mistake. He caused his team a problem by doing something stupid which was not even part of a play. Nate's mistake is part of the game. Shaun's is a mistake of character and hopefully it doesn't happen again.
