Chargers preseason football returns to Qualcomm Stadium on Saturday with the Dallas Cowboys in town. It’s the second game of the preseason, but for rookie safety Darrell Stuckey this will be the first time he’s taken the field in the NFL, after missing the opener with a groin injury.
Stuckey joined 619 Sports at Chargers Park for this 1-on-1 interview. Stay with 619Sports.Net for complete coverage of the Chargers all season long!
(due to NFL online restrictions, this video had to be taken out of the public archive after 24 hours. Check out our Chargers team page for our latest video from Chargers Park!)
CHARGERS FANS: Here’s how you can help support the battle against Huntington’s Disease while cheering on your Chargers this season! Sign up for TDs to Cure HD, where you can pledge a donation from $1 to $40 for every touchdown the Chargers score this season. 100% of the money will go toward helping end Huntington’s Disease, one of life’s cruelest diseases.
Huntington’s disease is a fatal, genetic brain disorder that destroys a person’s mental and physical abilities. An estimated 30,000 Americans have it, and at least 150,000 more are at risk. Children of a parent with HD have a 50-50 chance of inheriting the condition, and the disease can start as early as childhood. Today there is no cure or treatment, but your support gives our families hope for a future free from HD.
Your generous donation will not only help make this the last generation of HD sufferers, it will also qualify you for great opportunities to meet and interact personally with your favorite Chargers! For more info and to find out how you can make your pledge today, please visit the Huntington’s Disease Society of America San Diego chapter website.
