Unlocking the mystery of San Diego State athletics has stumped many an athletic director, but Jim Sterk feels that SDSU is on the verge of greatness. Calling the Aztecs a “sleeping giant that’s about to roar”, Sterk accepted the job as AD today on campus. Sterk, 53, comes from a decade spent at Washington State University as athletic director, and brings with him a reputation as a top fundraiser.
