Hey SDSU! Time To Meet The New Boss!

by Chris Ello on February 15, 2010

“Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss.”  — The Who (”Won’t get fooled again”)

Well, Monday, we all met the new boss. The new Athletic Director at San Diego State is Jim Sterk, 53, formerly the A.D. at Washington State.

Now…before we go any further, why don’t you all take a moment to meet him. 619Sports.net was there with complete coverage of Sterk’s introductory press conference. Below, check out our interview with Sterk and our podcast on his hiring.  Here, watch video of Sterk’s introductory press conference:

One thing has been answered, though, unquestionably.  This is a mentally tough and resilient group.  They hang together, they keep fighting when everyone else counts them out, and they never, ever quit on themselves or the game.

Turner talked about his team’s mental toughness the day after it was on display in the Big Apple:

It Was What It Was

March 2, 2009

Share There is hope, expectation, and reality.  We all hope for a great sports weekend every Friday, but sometimes it’s just not that great.  My personal sports weekend was a consistent mild disappointment.  The Lakers lost twice, SDSU’s men’s basketball team coughed up another big 2nd half lead and needed OT to beat lowly TCU, [...]
