2009. Did you love this year? Unless you are a Park View Little Leaguer or a foreclosure specialist, the answer is probably no. But 2009 was memorable in more ways than one, and in the world of San Diego sports, there were enough great/important moments to fill a pair of Top 10 lists. The Little League World Series is the stuff of dreams. I’m sure the kids are having a great time, too, but I’m talking about TV reporters. This 2-week, over-the-top extravaganza of youth baseball excess is a dream come true for someone like me, who needs to feed the television beast.
Over a 24-hour period, I counted 11 different stories we sent back to air on 10 different newscasts for Channel 10. By we, I mean myself and our Chief Photographer, Jeff LeValley, who is joining me on a trip to Williamsport, PA, for the second time in four years.
