Friday night in La Jolla, the UCSD women’s soccer team will take the pitch against arch-rival Cal State Dominguez Hills, with the NCAA Division II West Regional Championship at stake.  The winner will advance to Sunday’s Elite Eight game, also held at UCSD.  619 Sports will be at Friday night’s game, and hopefully Sunday’s as well.

UCSD forward Sarah McTigue scored both goals for the Tritons in their 2nd round win over Chico Hills.  She joins 619 Sports to talk about the deep-seeded rivalry between UCSD and Dominguez:

Padres Hitters Need One Thing: Steroids!

Watching the Padres bats continue to flail away over the weekend in Houston (I mean, one run against Brian Moehler in that ballpark??), I think I came up with the solution to their ongoing hitting woes.

Steroids.

That’s right. Steroids. There. I said it. Now all the Padres have to do is start using them. Look…it must be obvious to everyone by now that every player in Major League Baseball is still cheating in one way or another (today it’s Manny, tomorrow it’ll be someone else), so why not the Padres?
