Oh how sweet it is.  After being stunned in 2008 by a comeback tie from the Ramona Bulldogs, the Oceanside Pirates took out their frustrations to the tune of a 52-6 thrashing Friday night.

Quentis Clark led the charge for the Pirates, throwing 13/18 for 282 yards and five TDs, while rushing for another 36 in the win.

“We felt a sense of revenge, we wanted to get payback,” said Clark after the game.  “Last year we were up 21-0 on the and they came back.  So we just wanted to come out and do what we were supposed to do.”

Oceanside got their revenge, in a big way.  After a competitive first quarter, the Pirates pulled away to take a 31-0 lead at the half behind Jerry Whittaker’s 135 total yards and one TD. Continue Reading →

The Dillon Baxter show made a live appearance at Point Loma High School Friday Night.   But to the dismay of many Pointers fans, the episode was about the stud Mission Bay QB feasting on the Point Loma defense.

In the Western League opener, Baxter and the 9th ranked Mission Bay Buccaneers (6-0; 1-0) overwhelmed the Point Loma Pointers (3-3; 0-1) 49-27.

Whether running it up the gut or tossing quick bubble screens, Baxter was simply unstoppable.  He accounted for six of the seven total TDs scored by the Buccaneers and had over 300 all-purpose yards.
