The San Diego Derby Dolls won their second consecutive banked track national championship, skating past Team Legit 121-94 in the Battle on the Bank finals. Watch postgame video interviews with SD’s Derby Dolls stars!
SD All-Stars, Team Legit Advance to BOTB Finals
The San Diego Derby Dolls’ SD All-Stars beat the TXRD Lonestar Rollergirls All-Scar Army in the Battle on the Bank semifinals 145-47 on Saturday, advancing to the championship Sunday at 3:15pm. To defend their national banked-track championship, the SD All-Stars will face Team Legit, a group of top flat track skaters from around the West Coast.
Battle On The Bank Favorites Advance
The banked track roller derby national championship is taking place this weekend at the Del Mar Arena in Battle On The Bank III. Yesterday’s first round action saw all of the higher seeded teams advance with easy victories. Kali Katt reports from Del Mar:
